Upcycled Sweater Blanket

Isn't this blanket adorable!!!!!

You can either find sweaters in your closet or your husbands closet or at the goodwill for cheap. I just cut the sweaters into strips ~6 inches wide is what I used. Sew together with a sewing machine, add a backing  and some batting and either top stitch with a machine or do as I did and hand stitch with some thicker embroidery thread to give it that cute handmade feel.
I especially love the little pocket that I salvaged from the sweater, wouldn't it be sweet as a little toothfairy pillow or ipod pouch for older kids.

Hi - saw you on today's creative blog. This is a really cute idea! And it's probably so soft.

What a great idea! I especially love the pocket. And I bet the blanket is so nice and warm.
