Magnet Games

My daughter is constantly upset in the car because she does not like to sit still for more than 2 minutes at a time. Knowing that my house seems to be exactly 30 minutes from anywhere I want to go I came up with these super cute magnetic games for her to use in the car.
I have one in my car and one in my husbands. I used metal DVD cases I had a specific look in my mind, something that was smaller that could close and keep all of the pieces inside. I found a place on-line called meritline that sold Tin DVD cases (I think it was 3 for $8.99) so far I have made 2 games, a farm game and an underwater game. Still thinking of what to do for the third case....zoo?, Seasonal tree(can add and remove leaves, flowers etc)?, Fishing game?, Any ideas?

They were a little work to make but so cute in the end. All of the images were silhouette downloads and I created the backdrop of each game and the outside title with sticker paper. The case was 5x7 so I created two identical backdrops. Print and cut each out then just peel and stick!

All of the pieces are made using their magnetic paper. These were a little bit tricker and you have to really slow the machine down to get them to cut all the way through and I had to cut around a few of them. Becareful if the magnets don't pop out easily DON'T forcet them, you will tear  them like I did the turtle. I just scotch taped his leg back on but after the work it was still upsetting.
The fences, animals, tractor, sun, clouds and barn are all removable and I was able to cut all of the pieces for both games onto 2 magnetic sheets! You have to get creative on placement, but it is possible.

Here are some pictures of her using them in the car.

I mirrored the image before printing on this one.

These are so cute! I love the barn and ocean themed ones. A zoo would be really fun or what if you did a Princess or pirate one?
I need to make some of these for my daughter. Such a great idea, thanks for sharing!

I think one with the important people in her life would be cool: parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, sitters, and the location could be something that is in her daily life--a park, your house, etc.
