Took another flower class for cake decorating last Saturday, this one was on Royal Icing flowers, we concentrated a lot on using the lilly flower nail set which I had never used before so that was cool to try.
You cover the nail (which is a cup shape) with tin foil so once you are done you just remove your work and let them dry. Once dry you just remove the tin foil and place them on your pastry work. We attempted lillies, pointsettas, roses, morning glories (I hadn't completely finished this one), bluebells(missing the stamens) and Petunias. Pretty cute but most probably won't be used very often.
