5th Cake Class-Figure Piping

During our fifth cake decorating class we focused on figure making. Some like the ducks, grapes and swan were cute and I could see myself using them in the future. Some of the others.....well, not so much but the point was to get the experience piping and trying new techniques right?!?

Here is the pig, one bodiless and one that looks kind of anorexic but it was a good attempt anyway.

Swan

Scary clowns I know, one is suppost to look like he is climbing up the side and the other is sitting. These have colored piping gel for feet. These were just for practice and can't be moved to the cake like this you have to make them on the cake itself. Also the body has a marshmellow inside (not a gigantic blob of frosting thankfully)

Stork for baby shower (again you would have to pipe the legs/beak on the actual cake)

Grapes, I made a few small ones and they kind of looked like Wisteria flowers, really pretty but I guess techniquely not a grape.
