A few weeks ago I met Jenni at a friends birthday party who is an awesome photographer. I had made the cake (seen here) and she had taken a few of the pictures (the good ones on that blog post) of the cake and I asked her for some photography tips to make my blog picures better and to get the most out of my new SLR camera. A few conversations later we set up some time she could teach me a few things about my camera how to work it better, what lenses to buy etc. After she looked at my blog a bit she asked if I could make her a cake and I said sure. What better way to use the best of both talents than a great trade. So I made a cake for her daughters party to congratulate her for getting her black belt in Taekwondo. The top red/blue circle is the mats they fight on and the cake is suppost to look like the GI she wears.
I got a custom edible ink sheet printed up for all of the badges that are on her actual jacket
This is the patch on her daughters jacket
Little figure I made of her daughter
She showed me a few techniques/tips on using my camera better and recommended a 50mm lens below are some shots I took using her lens before I bought my own.
Jenni took more pictures of the cake at the party but being the busy mom/photographer she is I will add them later once she gets them photoshopped
