How to color chocolate

I have had several friends and myself wonder if it was possible to color chocolate without purchasing an entire new set of oil based AmeriColors only to be told no, it is not possible....Well guess what?! IT IS possible. All you need is a bottle of AmeriColor Flo-Coat Candy Color and your favorite AmeriColor.

Mix the color you want with the Flo-Coat in a 1:5 ratio (5 being the Flo-Coat portion)

Melt your chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave with 30 second bursts. Once melted mix in the Flo-Coat/color mixture and use as you want.

I decided to place mine on a wax paper in a blob like mass. Allow to cool and then used a Y shaped peeler to make chocolate curls. (*I tried to used a regular vegetable peeler and the curls did not turn out very well.
