No Slip Headbands and Fueled by Fine Wine 1/2 Marathon

I did the Fueled by Fine Wine 1/2 marathon today it was REALLY hilly and was by far the hardest run I have ever done, my time was very slow but I finished it and had some really nice wine at the finish line as a reward. 

The terrain had to be at least 80+ percent hills

Before the Rock N' Roll race a few weeks ago I found some really cute No Slip Headbands such as these and figured I would try to make some instead of dropping $10-$15 per band. 

To make: Cut a piece of ribbon you like (that will show) and 1 piece of velvet ribbon (the same width for the back side). 19 inches is what I cut each of these ribbons too and I cut a piece of 4 inch elastic.

Seal the ends of each ribbon then pin the two pieces of ribbon together and the elastic in between the two ribbons as shown below to make a complete circle

Sew the two ribbons together and double stitch where the elastic is to prevent it from pulling out
