Last weekend I ran a 1/2 marathon with my friend and neighbor in Seattle. It was a lot of fun to have a girls weekend even though it involved an extreme amount of exercise and pain. The Rock N' Roll Marathon/Half was a really cool way to see the city.
It was overcast and cool most of the day, the warmest part was going through the tunnel.
Obviously since I was running 13.1 miles I wanted to travel light and didn't bring a camera so most of these pics are from the newspaper the next day. After the race my legs felt like they were going to fall off and I had a few blisters including a really big painful one under my big toenail. Probably time to get some new shoes/running socks.
The race was good practice for the next 1/2 in July Fueled by Wine (my kind of race) It will be a really hilly, really pretty course through the Dundee Wine Country near my house with Wine tasting afterwards.
