Chocolate Mousse in Chocolate Bowls

I made this delicious chocolate mousse with homemade whip cream in an edible chocolate bowl for a dinner party. They are actually really easy to make and a fun project to make with kids that want to help. To make you will need small balloons (**Note if you use the water bomb balloons they may break easier-as that is what they are designed to do). Blow up the balloons to the desired size you want. The bigger the "top" of the balloon the bigger your bowl will be.

Melt and temper the chocolate (you don't want it too hot or it will pop the balloon)
Dip the balloon in the chocolate to the desired height of the bowl and place on a piece of wax paper or parchment paper to harden. If it is too hot you may need to put them in the fridge for an hour or so to set up. Once the chocolate is hardened (you can make these the day before if you want) poke a small hole in the balloon and attempt to release the air slowly so the bowl doesn't collapse. Fill with mousse, ice cream, berrys, whatever you want really.

A tutorial for these bowls can be found here

To make the chocolate shavings spread chocolate  (maybe left over from making the bowls) onto parchment paper in a thin layer. Let cool and harden then use a bench scraper  or knife to scrape up the chocolate into sprinkles/shavings. Alternately you can use this method to make chocolate curls
