Homemade Playdough

I followed this tutorial on homemade playdough, I choose this recipe because it had less salt than the other recipes (which tends to dry out the dough) and I had all the ingredients on hand so I could quickly whip it up.  Unlike the tutorial listed above I choose to make the dough uncolored then add the glitter and then break it up into equal size balls to color.

Ingredients: 1 C Flour
1 C Water
1/4 C Salt
1 TBSP Vegetable Oil
2 tsp Cream of Tarter
Food Coloring ( I used Americolor gels-Neon/electric brights)-kool-aid packet will also work
Glitter (it can make a little more of a mess, but I used superfine glitter and it wasn't a problem
Sauce Pan and Wooden Spoon
Mix first  ingredients together, continuously stirring cook until it forms a paste and thickens.

Cool until you can handle the dough

Turn out onto the counter and knead in the glitter.

Break into equal pieces and knead in a small amount of coloring as desired.

Store in airtight containers.

This website has 7 more recipes for playdough includine one dyed with KoolAid and this one made with Jello!
