I finally jumped on the bandwagon and made a ruffle cake from a tutorial over at my sweet and saucy
I love the look of this cake, I just had to find the right time to use the technique and figured Karsyn's second birthday would be great.
The cake was a moist white cake dyed blue. I didn't expect the colors to be so vibrant but as you let the frosting and batter sit the color becomes deeper and more intense and "develops" richer colors, that is what I love about the Americolor dyes. A little goes a long way.
