Finger Jello Fish

For a fun evening dessert I decided to make Finger jello for my daughter (she calls them fish candies which is fine by me)

I had a fish ice cube mold from IKEA I got for a couple of dollars (I think I also saw stars, hearts, and flower molds too) and mixed up some finger jello I put what didn't fit in the ice cube trays into a square 13x9" pan and then cut out shapes with smaller cookie cutters, which is also an option if you don't want to use the ice cube trays.

My recipe is a little different than the one on the back of the box.

Finger Jello Recipe
1 large box of your favorite jello flavor
2 packets of unflavored knox gelatin
2 c. super hot water
1 cup cold water

Combine the box of jello, 2 packets of unflavored gelatin and 2 cups of hot water, stir to dissolve completely then pour in the cold water. Pour into molds/pan that is sprayed lightly with pam (optional). The larger the pan, the thinner the jello will be so you will have more options to cut out pieces.

Enjoying her Whale/Fishy candy

*** Sorry for the horrible pictures, I took them with my phone
