I had several friends with birthdays this week so I decided to make a batch of cupcakes and share them with everyone. I made cherry cupcakes with cherry almond buttercream.
I tinted the frosting pink and piped it on like a rose. To do this you use an M1 tip and holding your piping bag straight up and down (90 degree angle from the cupcake top) start in the center and spiral out keeping the frosting fairly flat (not mounded)
I then misted the centers lightly with the color mist spray. It is hard to tell, would have been easier if I left the frosting white.
My little helper making her own mini cupcakes. She is really good for a 2.5 year old at not putting the spoon in her mouth so I don't have to change the spoon out after each time she scoops some out.
