Princess Birthday-Happy 3rd Birthday to my princess

Sorry for the delay on this post, we have been swamped moving and packing up our house. We did manage to squeeze into all of that my daughters third birthday party last weekend. I found a great deal on a pampered princess salon party at a local salon in Wilsonville called L'Attrait it was great and the girls had so much fun.

They shut the salon down for us and 8 little girl friends all got manicures, pedicures, make-up (or facepaint) and hairstyles. The birthday girl got a wand and crown and everyone got a goodie bag.
I brought in cupcakes, sub sandwiches (so I didn't have to keep things hot), my daughters favorite chips (Cheetos) and punch. They were really great about us bringing in our own food, drinks etc.

For the cupcakes I made pink bubblegum flavored cupcakes with buttercream frosting and little fondant crowns. I made my daughters different than the others of course. To make I rolled out fondant to about 1/4" thick, cut out the crowns using a template I drew on a piece of paper and cut out. (Just lay the template on the fondant and cut around it). Then I wrapped each around an empty paper towel roll covered in syran wrap. The stars and diamond were cut out using small clay cutters I found near the fimo dough section at michaels. I used Wiltons Color Spray Mist in Pink to color the pink crown
and just brushed on Pixie Dust edible glitter onto my daughters.

I also created princess survival kits for all the girls complete with sucker wands from Michaels for a dollar (I spruced them up with curling ribbon), foam crowns (also from Michaels), Pink Tutu's I made using this tutorial, I also made them the pink water bottles with Princess on them by cutting the words out with my Silhouette Machine on adhesive Vinyl. I was going to put each girls name on their bottle but ran out of time. I just wrote their names on the bottom in sharpie but it would have been helpful since they all used them during the party and people couldn't figure out who's was who's unless they turned them over. I also made them Crown sugar cookies with their names on them (post to come on that)
Some pictures of the day.

Holding very still during her manicure. The ladies their were really great with the kids. They were worried the girls wouldn't sit still long enough to let their nails dry (since there were 2 three year olds, 3 four year olds, 2 five year olds and a nine year old) but the girls did really well and were all very excited to have their nails done

Hugs at the end of the party, nails were dry but they were worried about messing up their manicure still.

Tyring to blow out the sparkler number candle.

Realizing it wasn't working

Hornorary Princess Vivian

Pretty excited to be there.

More hugs
